User comment: Did not get what was promised
I got u verse wifi intending it to be temporary (like 90 days) while I worked on a house to be sold. ATT promised me a $100 rebate on the $150 wifi equipment. I paid my first bill, waited on my rebate. I called a few weeks later and they said I was claiming my reward and it would be sent to me 30 days after I'd claimed it, so 7/17. It never came. I signed up for paperless billing and they said they'd give me a $10 rebate for that. I called 8/5 asking where's my $110 in rebates and they need to quit sending me nasty notices to pay my bill as I'd advised them I was going to use the $110 to pay my bills over the 90 days. This customer service rep said they'd emailed me, I'd never claimed my rebate and that she would start it over toward the $100 claim which would be ready 8/17 by mail. I told her they had disputed themselves, as usual with phone customer service and I was not happy. I intend to write a letter hoping for better service and someone to make this right. I am sure on their ATT Sucks facebook page, there are many complaints. I've heard that big companies monitor their FB pages for negative comments so they can attempt to remedy them or save face for themselves. I'm feeling lucky I don't have ATT at home, just at the house where I'm working temporarily.
